The Compulsory Medical Insurance Policy will cost 6,000 drams per month for those citizens who work but are not public servants and are not included in the "Paros" program.

According to the Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia Levon Altunyan, the main health care reform refers to the financing of treatment. "We do not try to invent a bike here. Taking into account our scarce resources, we decided to take the world's best experience, and the best world experience has no alternative to insurance, "he said.

The Ministry's ideology, as explained by Altunyan, lies in the fact that the rich pays for the poor, the healthy patient for the ill patient, thereby alleviating the financial burden on the budget. And in order not to overload the socially vulnerable strata, the government has decided to pick up the burden within which 612,000 people (Paros members) will receive the CMI policy. In the future, their number can grow up to 800,000, all of which will be covered by the same state budget scheme that covers the beneficiaries of the social package - about 88,000 civil servants. All the rest will have to pay 6,000 drams each month. The health minister was formerly heading "INGO Armenia" insurance company, hurrying to disparage the false impression that the insurance institute provides additional revenues to commercial companies. The Ministry of Health has gone the way when the risk factors, coordination of money and management of insurance reserves are taken by the state, and the service provision is carried out by commercial companies. He underlined that the insurance market in Armenia has the following distribution: 2.9 million people in Armenia are distributed by computer software among six insurance companies, taking into consideration their market weight, compensation amounts and other criteria set by the Central Bank and complying with modern financial standards.

As a result of introducing compulsory health insurance, Altunyan noted that in the next 3-5 years Armenia is expected not only to create a perfect financial system, but also to increase the life expectancy.
