A two-day seminar for economic journalists was launched in Hankavan involving RA Minister of Finance Vardan Aramyan.

During the seminar titled "State Budget of 2018", the following issues were touched upon: the revision and modernization of fiscal rules, the macroeconomic framework of the next year, including developments in the external world, macroeconomic developments and forecasts.

According to RA Minister of Finance Vardan Aramyan, the ratio of public debt to GDP in 2018 will be reduced by 1 percentage point. "In the GDP, the public debt is about to decrease with a percentage point. Since 2014, this ratio has grown by 13 percentage points, by 5-7 percentage points each year, the state debt has been growing in GDP. But this year, efforts were made to slow down this growth rate, making the growth not by seven, but by three to four percentage points, and by 2018, according to estimates, based on a stable exchange rate scenario, one percentage point of debt / GDP will be reduced, "the Minister explained.
