
Armenian-Lebanese business forum was held in Beirut, attended by RA Minister of Economic Development and Investments Suren Karayan. The conference was attended by the Lebanese Minister for Planning Michel Faraon. About 200 businessmen from Lebanon and Armenia participated in the conference.
Minister Suren Karayan emphasized in his speech that the Armenian government has a clear approach to the businessmen investing in Armenia, which means a full support to the investor.
"I think the favorable investment and business environment created in Armenia can best contribute to the manifestation of the potential of the business community of our countries, which will be expressed in the creation of joint ventures and product promotion in Armenia, Lebanon and other major international markets," Suren Karayan said.
Armenia's investment and business environment has been presented to government officials, businessmen and conference delegates. Viktor Akulyan also gave a report, member of the KPMG Partnership Council from Russia and other CIS countries, presenting the KPMG Guidelines on Armenia's Investment Opportunities, previously signed with the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments.
Lebanese investors were especially interested in the opportunities provided by free economic zones in Armenia, jewelry and tourism.
During the forum a memorandum was signed between the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the two countries for the development of bilateral economic relations and the facilitation of the business circles.
