During the visit to Aragatsotn region, Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan visited several agricultural companies of the region, got acquainted with the process of various investment projects.

The prime minister first visited the greenhouse farm of Voskevaz, where cucumbers and tomatoes are produced. The farm has an area of ​​1 hectare, and now the investment program of expanding it with another 1.2 hectares is in the process, for which it is planned to invest AMD 800 thousand. The owner of the farm noted that the product is currently being sold only on the local market, and in case of expansion of the farm, it is also planned to organize export. In addition to greenhouse farming, it is also planned to establish an intensive orchard and poultry farm. The Prime Minister attached importance to the implementation of these programs and reminded that the government subsidizes intensive gardens, drip irrigation systems, and as a result, farmers have the opportunity to attract low-interest credit facilities.

The head of government visited the Voskevaz Wine Factory, got acquainted with the process of its restructuring investment program. Here are the construction of a tourist complex, tasting halls and rooms for the forums, and increase of production capacities. The total investment program is estimated at $ 5-6 million. The company's products are now sold in Russia, the US, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Latvia, Estonia and a number of other countries.

Then the prime minister left for Oshakan poultry farm. It was reported that the produced poultry and eggs were sold only on the local market. Within the framework of a $ 1 million investment project it is planned to build 12 new poultry farms in the near future, as a result of which the poultry is expected to increase by three and eggs by 1.5 times. Currently, the poultry farm produces 2,000 tons of poultry and 40 million eggs annually. As a result of the investment program 100 more jobs will be added to the current 100 jobs.

Karen Karapetyan also visited "Gourme Durme" company engaged in the production of chocolate. The head of the government got acquainted with the results of the chocolate production expansion project. The Chocolate Production Company has already completed the construction of a new production plant, a new workshop has been established. French-Armenian businessmen of Gourmet Durme have invested an additional 200,000 euros, creating new jobs. It is planned to export the products to EAEU markets.

The visit of the head of government to Aragatsotn region has ended in Karbi community, where he got acquainted with the process of intensive garden's construction. Approximately 10 hectares of land, with the use of modern technologies, has already been established an apple orchard, and in the coming year it is planned to set apricot and cherry gardens with another 20 hectares. The total investment program is estimated at $ 3 million. Karen Karapetyan welcomed the investment program of the businessman who lives in Russian and expressed the government's support for the implementation of such programs.
