On November 6-10, the volume of foreign currency interbank transactions in Armenia's foreign currency market dramatically decreased 3.3 times (after the 3.3% growth in the previous week), with transactions only on Tuesday and Friday during the week. At the same time, there was a fall in the interest of the participants in the intra-bank foreign exchange market and, as a result, transactions switched from the active phase to the passive one, especially those in the euro. The foreign exchange market has been empty for six months.

As a result, during the reporting week, the dram fell against the dollar from 484.3 to 487 drams / $ 1, continuing depreciation against the euro from 565 to 567 drams / 1 euro, rose against the ruble from 8.3 to 8.2 AMD / 1 ruble. According to the press service of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA), on November 6-10 transactions at the sum of $ 2.8 million were realized at the weighted average exchange rate of 485.85 drams / $ 1 (against the former 483.61), they were mainly done on Tuesday and on Friday, $ 2 million and $ 800,000 respectively.
