The State Revenue Committee continues to implement measures to improve service quality, reduce and simplify procedures, facilitating the promotion of foreign economic activity with new services. During the last year a number of changes have been made in the customs clearance process. According to the head of the Araratyan customs-department Armen Sargsyan, the procedure for formulating the deal's price method has also been simplified. "If previously the customs clearance permit was given by a superior customs authority, now the declarant immediately addresses the custom house and performs customs clearance in case of reliability of the documents," said Armen Sargsyan, head of Araratyan customs-department. As a result, the process has become simple, easy and fast. According to foreign economic activity, the process of customs clearance has considerably reduced, which allows to organize the work with high efficiency and time saving.

At the initiative of the Committee, customs procedures are improved in favor of business by continuous simplification of customs clearance. The Ararat customs-department states that the simplified formulation of the transaction price method has recorded tangible results in a short period of time. According to Armen Sargsyan, the number of formulations by the method of the transaction price of imported goods from non-risky and risky countries has increased. Highlighting the importance of providing high-quality and fast service to business and the need to organize the work more efficiently, Araratyan is also consistent with the recruitment of staff. As a result of the reforms, a significant growth of budget revenues has been recorded in the newly established structure as compared to the previous year.
