The State Revenue Committee continues to implement measures to improve service quality, reduce and simplify procedures, facilitating the promotion of foreign economic activity with new services. During the last year a number of changes have been made in the customs clearance process. According to the head of the Araratyan customs-department Armen Sargsyan, the procedure for formulating the deal's price method has also been simplified. "If previously the customs clearance permit was given by a superior customs authority, now the declarant immediately addresses the custom house and performs customs clearance in case of reliability of the documents," said Armen Sargsyan, head of Araratyan customs-department. According to Armen Sargsyan, the number of formulations by the method of the transaction price of imported goods from non-risky and risky countries has increased.
