Employees of the State Food Safety Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia carry out regular visits to the meat market within the framework of state control.

SNFS reports that 880 kilograms meat of unknown origin, of which about 200 kg of is horse meat, have been found without the veterinary accompanying documents at the sales outlet of Mekhak Grigoryan, a private entrepreneur, at Zavaryan 16.

The Service Inspector ordered that the sales of this meat was suspended. Sampling was performed and sent to laboratory experiments.
