Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan received the delegation led by Hossein Samie, Head of the IMF Mission in Armenia.

The Prime Minister attached importance to the cooperation between Armenia and the International Monetary Fund and thanked the IMF for continued technical support for important reforms in Armenia's economy.

The head of the IMF mission in Armenia assessed the cooperation with Armenia efficiently and welcomed the implementation of the government's reforms. Hosein Samiei expressed satisfaction on behalf of IMF for the work done in 2017 to improve the tax administration in the Republic of Armenia, qualifying it as a significant achievement and expressed hope that this progress will be continuous.

In the context of the further development of the partnership, the Prime Minister and IMF Armenia Mission discussed a number of issues related to the possible new program and its directions.

The parties also exchanged views on the issue of macroeconomic indicators in 2017, RA Government of reforms in 2017-2022 on different spheres, amendments to the Tax Code, fiscal and monetary policy, as well as a number of other issues on the agenda of bilateral cooperation.
