President Serzh Sargsyan participated at the Central Bank's reception dedicated to the New Year and Christmas holidays. The President of Armenia congratulated all employees of the Central Bank and Armenian banking system and their families on the upcoming holidays. Serzh Sargsyan wished the positive achievements that Armenia had last year in both economic and political spheres would be fully transferred to 2018 and be strengthened and increased.

"I think you are more aware than anyone else, and this year's index of our economy is high and I want to emphasize that your role in the achievement of these indicators is great both for the Central Bank and for commercial banks.

It's very important that you really show great self-esteem. Your example should be infectious for others, "President Sargsyan underscored as unacceptable by all the rumors and approaches that he should try to influence the economy through artificially fiscal.

"It is clear that the financial system predetermines the country's progress, economic growth, but when it is based on objective reality, not artificially fictitious things," the President noted.

At the reception, the President of Armenia thanked the banking system employees for their efforts in the development of the system in the past year and wished further success.

President Sargsyan also touched upon the main problems and tasks the Central Bank will face in 2018.
