
Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Armenia Tyan Erluni.
The head of government underlined that the Armenian side is interested in activation and expansion of cooperation with Chinese investors and the appropriate regimes and environment created in the country are favorable for implementation of new investment programs in Armenia. "I am convinced that by joint efforts we can give a new impetus to the expansion of the presence of Chinese capital in the Armenian economy," Karen Karapetyan noted.
In his turn, the Chinese ambassador noted that the economic indexes registered in Armenia in 2017 create favorable conditions for registering new successes and expanding economic ties. "We have good opportunities for the development of bilateral cooperation. The trade turnover between our two countries increased by 34.5% in January-November 2017 compared to the same period in 2016, which has given a good dynamics to the activation of bilateral ties, "Tyan Erluni said, adding that the Chinese government is ready to further deepen and expand cooperation with Armenia in the direction of specific programs. The ambassador informed that $ 15 million was allocated for the construction of a Chinese school in Yerevan, with the initiative of the Chinese side they will continue the program of replenishment of the Armenian ambulance park in Armenia this year.
