
"Armenia-Switzerland" business meeting has started today in Yerevan organized by the Armenian Development Fund.
35 entrepreneurs representing pharmaceuticals, IT, wine-making, tourism and transport sectors are taking part in a business meeting organized within the framework of the official visit of Dominique de Buman, President of the Swiss National Council.
RA Deputy Prime Minister Vache Gabrielyan wished the businessmen a fruitful job at the opening, noting that if the discussions are objective, it will give an opportunity to study all the advantages that are given by the economies of both countries respectively.
President of the National Council of Switzerland Dominique de Buman noted that in recent years the Armenian-Swiss economic relations have intensified, as it is seen in the statistics of 2017.
According to him, he visited Armenia for the first time 10 years ago and today he sees and appreciates the positive economic movement in Armenia.
Armen Avak Avakyan, Director of the Armenian Development Fund, mentioned that the Armenian-Swiss Chamber of Commerce was established months ago and hopes that it will promote the deepening of economic cooperation between the two countries.
He also said that in 2017, the trade turnover between Armenia and Switzerland has grown by 3.5 times as compared to 2016. At present, cooperation in the field of watchmaking, agriculture is being carried out.
