On February 19, at 15:30, the branch N4 of VTB Bank (Armenia) was attacked at 56 Baghramyan Street. According to the preliminary data of the Investigative Committee of RA, 4.5 million drams were stolen from the branch of VTB Bank (Armenia).

According to Edgar Janoyan, spokesperson for the RA Police, two people attacked the branch of VTB Bank (Armenia). The attackers were armed with a gun. The police do not report the stolen money. Investigative measures are being carried out on the spot, details are being clarified.

A criminal case has been filed under Article 175 (3) (1) of the RA Criminal Code and an investigation group has been set up. Necessary investigative and operative search measures are underway to identify and detect the identity of alleged perpetrators.

The scene was checked and video tape recorders were seized. The Armenian Criminal Committee will provide further information on the results of the preliminary investigation.
