
According to the data released by the National Statistical Service of Armenia, in January 2018 the index of economic activity increased by 10.2% compared with January of the last year.
According to the National Statistical Service, the volume of industrial production in January of this year increased by 13.9% as compared to January 2017, and decreased by 25% compared with December.
Thus, in January of this year the construction sector grew by 19.7% to 9 billion 333.7 million drams, electricity production - by 7 percent, trade turnover - by 17.3 percent, services – by 15.2 percent.
Only aggregate agricultural output decreased by 0.4% making 17bln 535.7mln AMD.
According to the National Statistical Service, in January, the foreign trade turnover increased by 47.6% as compared to the same period of the previous year, with export increasing by 45.2% and import by 48.9%.
