Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan today received representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) and Chamber-member Companies operating in the field of intellectual property or dealing with intellectual property problems in their business.

The guests thanked for the reception, noting that one of the agenda issues of the second session of the Armenian-American Council, set up within the framework of the Trade and Investment Agreement (TIFA) in Washington, is related to intellectual property, the protection of which is important from the point of view of business support and development. In this context, a number of issues related to intellectual property have been presented, which are related to business activities. Particularly, the law enforcement practice in the field of intellectual property, the work of the judiciary and the issue of having specialized judges, issues related to customs procedures, and other issues in the field of copyright were raised

Karen Karapetyan noted the need to resolve the issues raised and to delegate representatives of responsible agencies jointly with AmCham member organizations to discuss the problems and proposals for their solution.
