The International Monetary Fund's central office is in Armenia. The delegation members were received by SRC Chairman Vardan Harutyunyan.

In the course of the meeting, referring to the reforms implemented by the Committee over one and a half year, the members of the Delegation noted the visible and spectacular results, highly appreciating the continued revenue growth, the structural optimization of the Committee and the new way of working in that context.

The SRC President thanked for the high assessment and mentioned that the principle of ensuring the most comfortable environment for business was laid in the basis of the changes. According to Vardan Harutyunyan, in the next two to three years, the SRC administration will be directed to the implementation of measures to eliminate incomplete income declaration, preventing tax avoidance practices, and in this context, the use of such administrative tools will be of great importance, which will maximize productivity, while remaining unnoticed for business. SRC Chairman Expects Effective Cooperation with IMF "We are very resolute to make Armenia a country where a favorable investment climate will be created, and tax policy is an important tool in its formation," the SRC President said.

As a result of meetings with various SRC departments, the IMF delegation plans to provide technical assistance to the Committee in the next two to three years to effectively implement the envisaged reforms. Both sides underscored the efficiency of cooperation and expressed willingness to continue it.
