The US Congressional commission on Armenian Issues called on the House Foreign Assistance Committee Chairman Hal Rogers and Commissioner Nita Lowe to assist the aid package in the sum of $ 70 million to Armenia and Artsakh in the 2019 fiscal year.

As reported by the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA), the relevant letter was circulated in the House of Representatives to collect signatures.

The committee, in particular, has offered to pass $ 6 million to Artsakh for demining and Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons, $ 4 million for peace, $ 30 million for Armenia as economic aid and $ 20 million for refugees from the Middle East. The members of the commission also called for suspension of military aid to Azerbaijan.
