CARMAC Group, together with the Italian "Vaba" LLC, will soon set up a plant of hail-resistant networkss in Armenia. This was stated by the representatives of the Italian company, Minister of Agriculture Ignati Arakelyan during the meeting in Vanadzor municipality.

NA deputy, head of the RPA faction Vahram Baghdasaryan was also present at the meeting.

According to the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Minister then visited the construction site where the construction works are being carried out.

Armen Gharajyan, Deputy Director of "Vaba" LLC noted that the production of hail-proof networks will be phased, all the equipment and part of raw materials will be imported from Italy. According to Armen Gharajyan, their products will be competitive and will have a demand on the local market, as the main parts will be prepared on the site and the prices for the networks will be relatively affordable, the network will be used for at least 10-15 years.

Executive Director of CARMAC Group Andrea Karapetyan expressed confidence that the implementation of this project will contribute to the improvement of the social conditions of the farms in the region as they will protect their crops from natural disasters. According to him, besides selling on the local market, the company will take steps in the direction of export.

"From the very beginning, our goal was to offer hail-proof networks to our farmers at an affordable price. We have announced the project, the investor has come and we will have Armenian products of hail-protected networks by the end of the year, "said Arakelyan.

According to the Minister, it is planned to produce three types of networks for grape vines, as well as for traditional gardens, which will be more affordable, as they won't contain concrete columns.
