Plastic card passwords issued by VTB Bank (Armenia) are provided to customers via SMS-messages instead of paper carriers. When receiving a new card, the cardholders get temporary SMS-codes, which customers must replace by themselves at ATMs of VTB Bank Armenia and choose a PIN-code at their discretion. Due to the new service the Bank customers can create numbers that can easily be remembered by changing them at any time, and if they have several cards they can use the same PIN code for all cards.
After obtaining an SMS-message with a temporary PIN-code, the client performs the following actions to activate the card and choose a permanent PIN-code:
· enters the card to any ATM of VTB Bank (Armenia);
· types the temporary PIN-code received by SMS;
· enters the new four-digit PIN code in the opened window;
· re-types the new PIN code and completes the transaction.
Based on security requirements, the PIN-code created by the customer is not maintained at the Bank Processing Center and is available exclusively to the customer.
The PIN-code replacement service is valid for all cards of VTB Bank (except Instant Issue, Visa Infinite, pension and credit cards).
More detailed information about changing PIN-code can be obtained at the branches of VTB Bank (Armenia) and at the Bank's Unified Information Center (87-87).
