The volume of transactions in the interbank foreign currency market of Armenia, from May 21 to 25, grew by 6.6% as compared to the previous week's growth -4.6 times. At the same time, the growth of dollar transactions in the intra-banking market was replaced by a downturn, and the fall in transactions in the euro was replaced by a rise, the ruble sales have activated, and the purchase growth was replaced with a downturn.
The exchange trading platform has been empty since the beginning of the year.
As a result, during the reporting week, the exchange rate of the dram has increased against the dollar - from 483.3 to 483 drams / $ 1, continuing to rise from 570 to 566 drams / 1 euro, falling from 7.8 to 7.9 drams / 1 ruble against the ruble. As of May 25, 2017 the exchange rate of the dram against the dollar was AMD 482 / $ 1, 536 drams /1 euro against the euro, and 8.6 drams / ruble against the ruble, which shows the annual decrease of the rate of dram against the dollar and euro and increase against the ruble.
