In mid-June the Armenian delegation will leave for Tehran to increase Iranian gas imports in Armenia and negotiate tariffs. Iranian state news agency IRNA reports.
It is noted that the Armenian side intends to increase the import of Iranian gas from 1 million cubic meters to 1.6 million cubic meters.
Iran's national gas company's international affairs director, Behzad Babazade, said the thermal power plant in Yerevan needs more Iranian gas. He added that gas will be supplied in exchange for electricity produced by the Armenian side.
Babazade also assured that the Armenian-Iranian pipeline is capable of supplying Armenia with a larger volume of gas.
