RA Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Arthur Grigoryan received Lyle Andrius Bashan, the Director of Sustainable Development Office, Acting Director of the US Agency for International Development.

According to the information and public relations department of the RA Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, Minister Grigoryan expressed gratitude to the US Agency for International Development for the continued support of the Armenian energy sector and expressed hope that the cooperation will continue to be successful. Highly appreciating the role of the structure in the development of different sectors of the economy and regional integration, Arthur Grigoryan presented to the guests the process of building a 400 kV power transmission line with Georgia and a fixed power substation implemented by the US Agency for International Development.

The interlocutors also exchanged views on the reform of the energy sector, as well as the issue of training of relevant specialists in the construction of a new power transformer substation in Armenia.

They also touched upon the liberalization of the electricity market and possible new models of market formation.
