Armenia's metallurgical industry recorded a 15.3% decline in the first half of 2018 compared to 7.1% growth at the same period of the previous year.

According to the RA National Statistical Service, ferromolybdenum production in Armenia increased by 2.4% to 3530 tons in the first half of the year and 19% in the previous year. Only in June 598 thousand tons of ferromolybdenum was produced, which is 11.8% less than the May volumes.

The production of molybdenum concentrate in the first half of the year decreased by 3% to 5447 tones, the growth of the previous year was 6.9%. Only in June production decreased by 0.3% to 875 tons.

Copper concentrate production increased by 1.1% to 28.5 thousand tons in a month. Production of zinc concentrate increased by 30.7% to 5973 tons, the growth of last year was 29.5%. In June, zinc concentrate production increased by 46% to 1,162 tons.
