The State Interests Protection Department of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Armenia has reviewed the state of protection of state interests in the process of budget subsidy to the land users to obtain diesel fuel at affordable prices for agricultural works within the state support program.

It turned out that during the implementation of the program, responsible officials of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Armenia did not fulfill their duties contrary to the interests of the service, in accordance with the requirements of the legislation on subsidizing legal entities from the state budget under Decree No. 1937-N of December 24, 2009. They did not calculate the minimum standards for profitable pricing established under the subsidy, and did not coordinate their official duties with the Ministry of Finance. The draft resolution was submitted to the Armenian government for consideration, and although in January 2015 the price of the subsidy for diesel fuel was set at 55 drams per 1 liter, according to another point of the same decision and the agreement signed on its basis, 88 drams were compensated to the supplying company, granting a subsidy in the amount of more than 104,871,558 drams and causing significant damage to the legitimate interests of the state.

A criminal case has been initiated and the preliminary investigation has been instructed to the RA Investigative Committee.
