Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan stated at the government session about amendments to the law "On compensation of the persons who died during the defense of the Republic of Armenia or the compensation of persons with disabilities and their relatives".

"You know that it was envisaged that the beneficiaries of this mechanism are considered to be those killed or disabled people in the events of January 1, 2017 or their relatives. In conjunction with the Defense Ministry, we discussed and found out that there is a chance to take that date back for two years. Accordingly, the legislative regulation will cover the events that took place after January 1, 2015, "the Prime Minister said.

In his turn, the Minister of Defense noted that the beneficiaries of this process may become families of 183 dead and disabled people, including 156 families and 27 war invalids.
