The RA National Assembly adopted the package of legislative drafts submitted by the Government in the second reading and in its entirety.

The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia proposes to the National Assembly to consider as administrative offense when in the pre-election campaign candidates, parties and party alliances under the name of charity donate money, foodstuffs, securities, goods, promises or services on a gratuitous or privileged basis.

Administrative responsibility will also be set for carrying out charity simultaneously with election campaigns. By proposed amendments not only bribe-takers but also bribe recipients will be will be brought to criminal liability.

It is also envisaged to set criminal liability for committing a number of offenses, which are not currently considered a crime, for accepting the bribe offer by the voter, accepting the bribe, asking a bribe and intentional breach of the confidentiality of their own voting.
