As a result of the supervision carried out by the Yerevan City Administration staff in August in the framework of the agreement signed between the City Hall and Sanitec Company, numerous cases of improper performance of the services were revealed and "Compliance Notices" were sent to Sanitec Company and set reasonable terms for eliminating defects. Not in all cases the deficiencies were eliminated within the timeframe established by the notifications, on the basis of which a notification of the failure of the Services was issued and a fine of 12.967.739 AMD was levied from the August performance.

According to the information provided by the Department of Information and Public Relations of the Yerevan Municipality, "Sanitec" presented its objections to the notifications issued, as the failure was conditioned by objective circumstances. In this case, the problem relates to damage to garbage trucks caused by the absence of necessary landfill conditions, a large number of burnt garbage cans, and so on.

"Regardless of whether the above-mentioned problems are objective or subjective, recognizing the importance of providing such services on a daily basis, the municipality of Yerevan is taking measures to support Sanitek to resume its services, is negotiating with Sanitek regarding the replacement of damaged mechanisms and garbage containers for the account of additional investments, and if the situation is not resolved in the shortest possible time, the municipality of Yerevan will take the maximum measures of responsibility provided for by the counter ktomu, which, however, require a certain amount of time and procedures to ensure the continuity of waste management ", - said in a statement the municipality.
