RA Minister of Agriculture Artur Khachatryan received the delegation headed by Mayor of Glendale Zareh Sinanyan.

At the beginning of the meeting the Minister briefed on the priorities of Armenia's agrarian policy.

Artur Khachatryan particularly touched upon

the necessity of proportional development of agriculture, the steps taken by the Ministry in the field of land consolidation, the reduction of unused land, the development of agricultural value chains, diversification of export markets, renovation of agricultural equipment, intensive agriculture development, introduction of new technologies, consulting system reform and other issues, as well as the steps undertaken by the Ministry and new programs for their resolution.

The minister also emphasized the use of new approaches in subsidizing policy.

President of the Armenian National Committee of America Western Region Nora Hovsepyan expressed gratitude to the Minister for the warm welcome and noted that California is a state of agriculture, hoping that during the upcoming visit to the US, Minister Khachatryan will have an opportunity to personally get acquainted with the field specialists and discuss issues related to cooperation development.
