In New York, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a working breakfast with Executive CEO of the Contour Global International Electricity Generation Joseph Brandt.

According to the RA Government Press Service, the interlocutors discussed the results of the activity of the office of the "Contour Global Hydro Cascade" company operating in Armenia and the investments of "Contour Global", which has so far made the largest US investment in our country. The sides underlined the importance of effective bilateral cooperation and implementation of the planned programs.

The share of Vorotan cascade hydroelectric power stations makes about 15% of the electricity produced by Armenia's energy system. It provides electricity to 250,000 homes and private households.

Over the course of six years, the company has pledged to invest € 50 million in the modernization of hydroelectric power stations to improve the safety, reliability and efficiency of the plant operation.
