Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan has arrived in the Republic of Tajikistan on a working visit and met with the President of that country, Emomali Rahmoni, reported the RA Government Information and Public Relations Department.

The President of Tajikistan greeted Nikol Pashinyan in Dushanbe and noted that this is their first meeting and wished him success in the post of the Armenian Prime Minister. Emomali Rahmoni expressed satisfaction with the level of bilateral political relations and attached importance to the implementation of joint steps towards the expansion of trade and economic relations and their new impetus.

The Prime Minister thanked for warm reception, underlining that the Armenian government is interested in the development and deepening of multilateral cooperation between the two countries. Nikol Pashinyan attached importance to the development and implementation of concrete projects in the sphere of economy. According to the head of the government, Armenia attaches importance to the interaction within the framework of bilateral and international and regional organizations and integration unions.

During the meeting the interlocutors discussed issues related to the expansion of relations in different spheres, touched upon the further cooperation within the framework of integration unions.

In the evening, the prime minister took part in the informal dinner hosted in honor of CIS leaders. Pashinyan will take part in the recurrent sitting of the CIS Council of Heads of States on September 28.
