South Caucasus Railway Increases Number of Passengers and Freight Traffic.

South-Caucasian Railways CEO Sergei Valko summed up the results of the January-September period of 2018 during the consultation held on October 5. As the director mentioned, positive dynamics of transportation growth was maintained during the reporting period. South-Caucasian Railways CJSC Public Relations Department informs.

According to statistics, during the first nine months of this year, 2 million 155 thousand tons of cargo was transported by railway, which is 9.4% more than anticipated and 9% more than last year. Netto's freight turnover increased by 6.6% compared to 2017, and the loading by 16%.

Railway exports increased by 56,000 tons or by 23%, and freight traffic in local communication-by 14.2%.
