The government has satisfied the request of LLC “UNIVERSAL CLIPS” for exemption from customs duties on the import of technological equipment imported as part of the investment program in the priority area, their components and components, raw materials and materials. Newly appointed Minister of Economic Development and Investment Tigran Khachatryan mentioned that the goods imported by the company will be used in the production of aluminum caps, which are mainly used for the production of drinking and mineral water.

"These goods are not imported from the EEU member countries because they do not meet the company's technical requirements. The company has been operating for 6-7 months, which is located in Kotayk region. Within the framework of the program it is envisaged to invest 2,8 billion drams. It is expected that 27 jobs will be created, with an average salary of 245,000 drams," the Acting Minister said.

According to him, the total volume of production planned by the program will make about 1.7 billion drams, of which 750 million drams will be sold in Armenia, production of 480 million drams will be exported to Russia and the rest to Georgia. The amount of customs duty deductions will make about 37 million drams.

The availability of a privilege will be a serious impetus for the implementation of new investment programs which will create new jobs, attract investments, promoting local production and export.
