The TMX Group, the current operator of the Toronto Stock Exchange, has announced the launch of a crypto-currency brokerage platform dealing with the acquisition and sale of the bitcoin and Ethereum. This is reported by "Toronto Star" newspaper.

TMX Group's "Shorcan DCN" division will be involved in the operation in cooperation with "Paycase Financial" and Canadian commercial "Bank of Montreal".

It is expected that the new service, called "Shorcan Digital Currency Network", will be available in the second quarter of 2018. This step will help TMX Group to enter into a new rapidly growing crypto market.
