Net profit of Bank of China has grown by 4.8% as of the end of 2017, due to a significant increase in interest income. This figure reached from 164.1 billion yuans of last year to 172.4 billion yuans ($ 27.4 billion).

At the same time, net interest income has increased by 10.6% to 338.39 billion yuans. The lender also noted that as of the end of 2017 the volume of problem loans amounted to about 158.47 billion yuans, which is equivalent to 1.45% of the total loan portfolio.
