Apple has responded to the inquiry of members of the US House of Representatives of Energy and Trade Committee. They demanded explanations of the messages that their devices allegedly recorded the voices of users without their knowledge.

Congressmen's fears are related to Siri's voice assistant. To enable it, the user must say: "Hi, Siri." According to users, Apple smartphones can hear, record, and maintain users' other words while waiting for that phrase.

The company noted that Siri did not transmit voice instructions to a third party.
