At the sitting of the Eurasian Economic Commission, the proposal on elaborating a common methodology for tariffs for gas transportation services was discussed.

The proposals of the parties will be discussed by the energy ministers in September, after which the issue will be presented at the session of the Intergovernmental Council. The work on the Common Gas Market Formation Program in EEU has been held in the Eurasian Economic Commission since April 2016.

The project was approved by the Eurasian Economic Commission, and on July 27 this year, the Prime Ministers of the EEU countries discussed at the Intergovernmental Council.

"In 2016 there was only 1 of the 60 disagreements left by the EEU countries on common gas market formation program. One of the possible ways of regulation can be the development and adoption of uniform tariff methodology for gas transportation services in the Union's gas market, "said Emil Kaykiev, member of the Energy and Infrastructure Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
