The introduction of an alternative payment system in Brussels with Tehran is a matter of time. This was stated by the head of the EU delegation in Moscow Markus Ederer in an interview with RT.

According to Ederer, the transition to alternative payment systems is inevitable, because the US is tightening anti-Iran sanctions.

At present, technical mechanisms are being discussed at the bilateral technical level.

The EU expects that the creation of new accounting systems with Iran will continue to develop trade relations with the Islamic Republic, in particular, an increase in imports of Iranian petroleum products.
