Microsoft and MasterCard have joined forces to address the protection of user identities used in the travel, investment and retail industries around the world.

Mastercard representative Ajay Bhalla said that today's solutions are not universal. That is why it was decided to create a unified system that will work in all countries and will give users complete control over their identity, including the ability to monitor the devices on which they are used.

The new system will speed up banking processes and payment processing in online stores, as well as facilitate access to various services. How exactly it will work, is not reported.
