In Russia, it was forbidden to place electronic scoreboards on the streets with currency exchange rates. The decision was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The bill was developed by the Central Bank. From now on, the Russian regulator can set the requirements for how credit institutions post information about exchange rates.

Banks and exchange offices will be able to report this data only inside the premises where the organization or its branch is located.

At the same time banks are not prohibited from reporting on the streets about the kinds of currency that can be exchanged.

The Central Bank of Russia noted that the innovation is aimed at combating illegal currency exchange points.
