The monetary base in Ukraine in December 2018 increased by 0.8%, and for the year - by 9.2% - to 437.797 billion hryvnia. Money supply in Ukraine in December 2018 increased by 3.9% - to 1.276 trillion hryvnia. This is the local media reported with reference to the National Bank of Ukraine.

According to the National Bank, the corresponding dynamics is due to the growth of the balance of deposits by 4.3% - up to 910.996 billion hryvnia, and the volume of cash in circulation outside banks - by 3.8%, to 364.753 billion hryvnia.

In general, in 2018, the money supply increased by 5.6%. In December, net international reserves increased by 23.3% to 9.644 billion dollars, and banks' debt on refinancing loans decreased by 4.1% to UAH 61.599 billion.
